From Fred’s website:
My work history has ideally prepared me to be the only candidate that can carry out the functions of the Labor Commissioner from the moment I take office. For thirty-four years, I worked with Ford Motor Company at the Tulsa Glass Plant and was ultimately appointed by the National Ford Department to be UAW Benefits Representative. Prior to that appointment, I was elected President/Chairman of the UAW Local 1895. For the past six years, I have been a Human Resources Labor Specialist for Spirit AeroSystems in Tulsa. Finally, for the past twenty-one years, I have taught the future of Oklahoma as an adjunct professor of Business and Human Resources classes at Tulsa Community College.
My desire is to serve the state I love and all citizens, no matter your party. My philosophy is that labor and management can find common ground but that both sides must endeavor to find an understanding among one another.
I will work to invoke the core values of collaboration, inspiration and transparency which are critical to serve the people of Oklahoma. My determination to find solutions and treat others with dignity and respect while doing so makes me the best choice for your next Commissioner of Labor in Oklahoma.
