Time for Reflection, Thanks, and Moving Forward

November 6, 2018 has come and gone and EDW members have a moment to take a breath. As the election process works now, the minute one election is done, campaigns for re-election begin. But, before that happens, it is time to share some gratitude.

First, many thanks to ALL the individuals that stepped up and ran for office. This is such a grueling job and it takes so much time, energy and money. To those EDW endorsed, but were not elected—Drew Edmondson, Mark Myles, Kimberly Fobbs, Fred Dorrell, William Andrews, Devyn Denton, Jackie Phillips and Kathy Wallis—EDW is very proud of the races you ran and the people you are! To those that were successful in their races—Kendra Horn, Chelsey Branham and Julia Kirt—EDW is also very proud of each of you and excited about the relationship our club will have with you in the months and years to come.  The country now knows that there is definitely a blue spot in the middle of Oklahoma!

And last, but certainly not least, to all the members of EDW who supported the candidates with your time and your dollars…THANK YOU!  THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Many have shared that they could not have done it without the EDW volunteers. Kendra Horn has said that at least twice! While all were not victorious, many volunteers have shared how rewarding they found the experience.  AND, they are ready to move on to the next campaign to elect outstanding individuals to public office!
