NonDoc is operated by Sustainable Journalism Foundation and is a nonprofit entity. Their mission is to produce and distribute quality journalism with context that enables civic involvement. NonDoc’s Vision is to sustain reporting on under-covered civic issues while increasing public knowledge and encouraging public dialogue. Their core values include Accuracy, Fairness, Transparency, Community, Diversity and Historical Record. Mr Savage did an excellent presentation on journalism and effects on the political landscape as well as some insights on what is going on at the Capitol.

Our other scheduled speaker Rachel Hubbard the executive director of KOSU was ill and unable to attend in person or by zoom and she was extremely apologetic. We will invite her to return at another time.

EDW member and candidate for County Commissioner District 3, Jay Bridwell, was able to share information about himself and his campaign just as Greg Clydeand Cathy Cummings did last month. This was not an endorsement but sharing of information.

Candidate for OK County District Attorney, Vicki Behenna, also joined us to be introduced to our membership and will return at one of our upcoming candidate Forums that we will have on May 16 and June 20th for state and National Democratic candidates for various offices. So put it on your calendar and plan on attending which promises to be 2 very informative and educational EDW meetings.
