Oklahoma County voters are being asked Nov. 3 to approve a 0.40% sales tax lasting 25 years to complete and operate a new detention center and support diversion and mental health programs.

The tax would add 4 cents to a $10 taxable purchase. Collections would begin April 1, 2027, and end March 31, 2052.
