On May 31, 2023, the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled the two state abortion laws enacted in 2022 are unconstitutional due to the vague language about a medical emergency. Read the court ruling to see that this decision is consistent with their March ruling.

The 1910 law prohibiting abortion unless it is necessary to preserve a mother’s life remains in effect. However, the civil "vigilante" actions a private citizen could bring contained in those two state abortion laws ruled unconstitutional are no longer in effect. We must let our legislators know our views and that they should not enact replacement abortion laws that comply with the court's decision in a Special Session or next Session.
